Good news! We are juried into ArtWalk 2023! Well done everyone!
Sandie has the banner and Linda has black fabric to cover the grids we use for display. More talk and information at the next meeting.
Show and Tell
Jeanette has made a sample for next month's activity - metal.
Joan has done a Gloria Lohman inspired piece with wonderful fabric selection. Also a colour wheel.

Linda brought along her June journal.
Cathy has been busy as usual and showed us tassels, nicely done and a couple of epic failures. She also has a quilt in memory of Lorraine and some organic embroidery pieces.
In Memory of Lorraine |
Cath showed a wall hanging she made to practice on her new machine. Also her Earth Dragon, a remake of a previous challenge in another art group.
Sandie talked about the napkin exchange, an online course called Sketchbook revival and showed us a lovely scroll.
Brigitte was off playing with her friend Dianne and learned a quick technique for making a Mariner's Compass. What to do with them?
Christine talked about her trip to LaConner, Washington and the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fibre museum. She mentioned Janis Ledwell-Hunt and her wonderful macrame. Look her up on Facebook, or at UnfetteredCo on Etsy Canada.
And then on to the big event of the day, Gelli Printing!
Sandie led us in an exciting exploration of all things Gelli. She got us started on the basic one colour pull and then onward to experimenting with shapes, textures and masks. Some had played with this before and others were totally new to the technique. A lot of fun and laughter was had by all and maybe even some great work in the future with the days experiments.
Lots of pictures of our time with paint and gelli plates.
Cathy has sent along a couple of pictures of her gelli printed and dotted pieces. Lovely!
